Katie M. Clancy is Of Counsel at the Chicago based law firm, Utreras Law Offices. Consulting is a large aspect of Katie's practice. She regularly guides business owners through compliance issues and counsels them on how to apply efficient operational aspects to business operations. She prepares and files corporate formation and reorganization documents and routinely advises business clients on corporate lease and contract negotiations. She also provides counsel on employment law matters including benefit compliance, 401(k) plan compliance, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and termination issues. She develops and implements policies and procedures regarding employment, employee relations, employee benefit plan administration and contract administration.
Prior to entering private practice, Katie was an associate with the Chicago law firms of McDermott, Will & Emery, and Gardner, Carton & Douglas. Katie also completed two internships with The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, in its Human Resources Services Department.
